At the time, I couldn't remember who made the original statement I quoted for the 07 Christmas Card. But I am told it was Bill Bernbach, co-founder and creative driving force behind Doyle Dane Bernbach. Download the full piece to see the holiday products I was truly worried about at the end of 2007.
Bernbach's feeling that good advertising kills a bad product quickly is perfectly logical when you think about. And there is justice in the whole idea.
Now, about the cards. I have been doing these for at least 15 years. The cards are perhaps the only thing I do where I get to be client and creative all at once. There are actually collectors and aficianodos of the Rohr holiday cards.
