Melville was a rockstar.
Herman Melville was huge in the 19th century. He was the author of Billy Budd, Moby Dick and numerous other titles--some that were actually more than two words long. This writer was such an inspiration to my great grandfather that he actually named my grandfather "Melville Joseph." Yet for some reason grandpa decided to go by "Joe" throughout his lifetime.
